Line / Extension Supervision with Cloud PBX

When using extensions, ArenimTel’s Cloud PBX system makes it possible to display the status of one device on another device. This feature can be useful e.g. in a Manager / Assistant relationship, where the assistant needs to know whether the manager is busy or available to take a call.

By default, ArenimTel’s system can handle the following statuses:

  • UNAVAILABLE: if the extension monitored is not logged in to the system, the indicator light on the assistant’s phone will flash in red.
  • AVAILABLE AND READY: if the extension monitored is ready to take calls, the indicator light on the assistant’s phone will glow in green.
  • AVAILABLE BUT BUSY: if the extension monitored is currently in a call, the indicator light on the assistant’s phone will glow in red.

Manager / Assistant Function

In the case of some managers, it might be preferrable to set up their extensions in a manager / assistant role with another extension. In such a scenario, the manager’s number may not be dialed directly; instead, calls will ring on the assistant’s phone first and can be put through manually.

The feature provides the following options:

  • all incoming calls ring only on the assistant’s phone first and can be put through to the manager manually;
  • calls ring simultaneously on the assistant’s and the manager’s extension.
