ArenimTel’s customer service software provides the option for multiple agents to share the same physical device – e.g. in different shifts – using their own extensions. To use this feature, multiple extensions can be logged into a single handset (in order to distinguish between various agents).
To be able to use the hot seating feature for call center agents, IP phones with programmable buttons are required. Users can log in by entering their extension number and PIN code on the phone.
When using the Softphone client, hot seating is handled by the login procedure.
