ArenimTel’s IP PBX lets you manage a custom number of phone extensions.
In a traditional office setting, an extension indicates a telephone endpoint identified by an internal extension number (e.g. extension 201).
Extensions in ArenimTel’s system provide all the usual functionality of traditional PBX systems (e.g. call groups, attendant function, etc.).
Extensions can be dialed in-house (within ArenimTel’s system) by keying in the extension number. If the extension is also connected to a phone line – i.e. can be dialed not only as an internal extension – then the extension can also be reached by dialing the related phone number, and can also be used to make outbound calls.
Good to know!
In order to use an extension, it needs to be set up to work with the connected endpoint device (e.g. an IP telephone or Softphone client needs to be configured accordingly, which is done by our engineers upon system setup).
